OK folks, more often than I’d like I come across stories that plain break my heart. Rowdy’s story is a sad one, but I think we can help to change that.
Rowdy is a 10-year-old Australian Shepherd in Palisade, CO, who is athletic, smart and healthy. He’s looking for a new home because his Mom was just diagnosed with terminal cancer. He’s used to living on a 4 acre property, and being his owner’s companion on camping and hiking trips. I’m told that you would never think that Rowdy (true to his name) is 10 years old. He loves to run the fence-line when trains pass by, and gets along great with people. He’d do best in a home with no small children, and perhaps as the only pet, as he’s known to chase cats.
If you are interested in adopting Rowdy, please leave a comment with you’re email, and I’ll connect you with Rowdy’s owner.

I currently have an Aussie who is about 5 or 6, he is tri colored, neutered male that I reseued three years ago. I am from CO, but currently live in Santa Fe. I also havea Golden Retriever who is 7….they are very dog friendly and could keep this guy company. If he hasn’t already found a home, please email me. thank you!

I have a 6 year old Aussie named Rowdy. I also have a 17 year old rescue aussie, named Ginger. If I did not live so far away, I would not hesitate to take in this guy. I live on a farm in Ohio. I hope he gets a great home. Senior dogs are incredible.
